It took a long time for me to warm up to digital photography. I can honestly say I hated it at first. I will always love film more than digital. It allows smoother tones and gives an overall richer image (in my opinion). The anticipation of waiting to get film developed is fantastic and there is obviously a certain nostalgia that comes with it as well. I appreciate the instant gratification that comes with digital photography of course, especially when shooting weddings, but sometimes it’s nice to slow down and get back to the roots of this fantastic craft. Here are a few frames I shot around Santa Barbara and my neighborhood in San Francisco. All were shot on Fuji Pro 400H 35mm.
