It took a long time for me to warm up to digital photography. I can honestly say I hated it at first. I will always love film more than digital. It allows smoother tones and gives an overall richer image (in my opinion). The anticipation of waiting to get film developed is fantastic and there is obviously a certain nostalgia that comes with it as well. I appreciate the instant gratification that comes with digital photography of course, especially when shooting weddings, but sometimes it’s nice to slow down and get back to the roots of this fantastic craft. Here are a few frames I shot around Santa Barbara and my neighborhood in San Francisco. All were shot on Fuji Pro 400H 35mm.

Half Moon Bay

Yesterday I scouted some areas in Half Moon Bay for an upcoming styled shoot…snapped this along the way. So many people out on bikes enjoying the break in rain yesterday!

More Waylon…

My cat hates the camera. It’s like he knows these photos will end up on the world wide web for everyone to see and the neighborhood cats will tease him. It’s best to catch him while fully engrossed in doing something…like falling asleep.
